Word’s Change Case command is a lifesaver when you realise that you erroneously had Caps Lock on or a colleague has sent you a lengthy document — typed in CAPS! By simply selecting the offending text, you are able to convert it to the required format.

The following options are available under Word’s Change Case command button:

If you discover you have typed text in CAPS in Word, use the Toggle Case feature.

  • Sentence case.
  • lowercase
  • UPPERCASE
  • Capitalize Each Word
  • tOGGLE cASE

2. Typical practical exam question

A typical exam question is to require a user to change some text using the command button. The examiner will have included some tricks to ensure that you cannot simply re-type the text — so don’t try that route!
