I have used the Grammarly Chrome extension for some time now for spelling, grammar, and lately, tone. This little addition to the extension is super helpful for teachers and students. Whilst Microsoft Word has the Bibliography feature, PowerPoint and Excel do not.
The extension is currently in Beta and only works with the ten most popular source websites—Wikipedia, Frontiers, PLOS One, ScienceDirect, SAGE Journals, PubMed, Elsevier, DOAJ, arXiv, and Springer
. You may choose to use the Cite This For Me Chrome extension instead for now.
- The Grammarly Chrome extension must be installed, activated and have access to the site
- Click the Get citation button in the bottom left of the browser window
- Confirm your options
- View the citation
- Click on the Copy button
Proceed to your bibliography and paste the source details into your document or slide — it will appear as follows:
Plagiarism. (2022, September 26). In Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism
